ELI Beamlines umožňuje výzkum SARS-CoV-2 ve zrychleném režimu

To support the investigation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus characteristics and the development of possible vaccine and treatments ELI Beamlines offers rapid access to the experimental cluster for advanced ultrafast optical spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction for research related to Covid-19.

More information about the ELI Beamlines scientific cluster for advanced ultrafast optical spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction can be found HERE.

Proposals and experiments will be supported by Research Programme 4 for Applications in Molecular, Bio-medical and Material Science, jointly with the ELIBIO Project teams. More information on available support (bio and bio-chemical) labs is available HERE.

Please use the application form to describe the planned experiment.

ELI Beamlines has experiences also working with samples delivered for experiments, but without the user being present at the facility. This more of operation can also be used for experiments performed within the present Covid-19 call.

ELI Beamlines is a part of the ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) pan-European project, representing a unique tool of support of scientific excellence in Europe. ELI Beamlines aims to operate the world’s most intense laser system. With ultra-high power 10 PW and concentrated intensities of up to 1024 W/square cm, ELI Beamlines offer users a unique source of radiation and rays of accelerated particles. These beamlines are enable pioneering research not only in physics and material science, but also in biomedicine and laboratory astrophysics and many other fields.
