Antonio Zampolli Prize for Prof. Eva Hajičová
Prof. Eva Hajičová of the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, was awarded a prestigeous prize given by European Language Resources Association. The Antonio Zampolli Prize is being given every other year to a single European or international scholar for an outstanding output in computational linguistics. Prof. Hajičová was awarded for her lifelong contribution in formal and computational linguistics. Under her leadership a new concept of a unique project The Prague Dependency Treebank came into being. This project takes use of the result of tens of years of theoretical studies of classical and formal linguistics.
